FUN & FUNNY INDIAN JOKE BOOK

I had the pleasure of doing all the cartoons for "Are You Indian?" , a joke book about growing up Indian in America by Sanjit Singh. A few of the toons were a bit crazier and they were edited from my original concepts-but over all I had a lot of fun doing the "quick, sketchy, scribbly, splash color he  requested.
It 's geting some great reviews on amazon and is available on amazon and here:

Sanjit has some great stories, funny insights- a fun read, even for non- Indians like me!

AND--
Here are some of the original sketches that were submitted and got the Sorry, Charlie....ok, maybe ripping off his arm & beating him with it was a bit too far, I guess....Though I still think the spelling bee toon is funnier the way I originally did it....D-u-n-k-i-n...., haha....

T'was the Season....for studio gift caricatures!...

Of all the fun Christmas themed Gift Caricatures I did this holiday season- I had 2 really cool, unique commissions that I really enjoyed-

One was for a polygraph (lie-detector) class commemorating their graduation which took (or was supposed to) place during hurricane Sandy. There were a lot of details and the idea was the instructor was blowing his own hurricane of the 18 students-My finished art was presented as a gift to their instructor, and since it was digital, it was emailed overnight and 18 students each got their own copy too!

Another one was a mayor as Batman (Debt-Buster) locking up 125 million debt criminal-another digital emailed overnight in time for Christmas!

D-D-D-D-DIGITAL!! 1,2,3-FIVE!

I had the great pleasure of doing another FUN digital gig-booked through Digital Blacksmiths-for Campbell's Soup this time. I worked along with fellow digi-cartoonist Angie Jordan and there was a lot of laughter echoing throughout the room. I didn't have much time for pix as we had to go quickly but did manage to get a few...

THESE were some FUN pix done on the Cintiq21ux. I usuually do digital in Flash but I worked in Photoshop this time cause I love the ease of switching brushes and getting the airbrush effects, wish Flash had that...Lotsa FUN, LotsA laughs! Thanks Digital Blacksmith's, Angie & Scott!

more DOG DAY AFTERNOONS!

SlUGGER- GREAT name! I knew I'd make him a boxer and the owner told me he beats up her kid's cat sooo.....

these darling girls had to describe their dog for me- I felt kinda like a "police dog-sketch artist"
"his eyes look like they're gonna pop out of his head" he's black & white" and black feet...his ears are pointy but floppy...and him got a smushed up face...oh and a curly tail too..!

Umm...what's he like to do? CHEWS on shoes the owner replies....okay...and oh yea his tail too!..

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PIC!!!! ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVES IN LIKE FOREVER!!

CAN ALMOST HEAR THE BOTTOM LEFT GUY GOING..."HUH..?"
