WEDDING CARICATURES

I had the great pleasure of doing wedding caricatures for the fun-loving Kelsey & Dan and their family and friends-mostly all fans of the crazier No-Mercy style I like to execute (pun intended)!
I knew it was gonna be fun-when a downpour came and while I was in the men's room, a guest came in soaking wet laughing and umm...wiping his wet areas, protesting he didn't pee himself no matter how it looks and he shudda brought an umbrella...funny guy and he was the 1st one to sit in my chair so I tried to commemorate the lavatory exchange-he nearly wet himself again when he saw the pic!
Fun-loving CRAZY folks were laughing and encouraging me to get more & more twisted thru the night-requesting bizarre things, flu-shot buttocks and Frankenstein scars.....
It was a BLAST and one of the funnest wedding events I did last year!- my only regret is that my memory card in my camera got misplaced and it took me so long to find & post these....(and that I don't check my fb very often...sorry bout that...)
Kelseys comments:

HEY PATRICK!!!! Sorry it has taken me so long to touch base with you since my wedding back in july. I just want to say THANK YOU!!!! Having you at our wedding was the best deision I ever made( besides marring dan) lol... I was also wondering if you were going to post some of the pictures you were taking that night! I loved having you there I love the sketch of my parents!!!! my dad looks AWFUL, and I love it!! he did have a few to many drinks! I cant believe I forgot to have you do a caricature of my daughter and I  I was wondering if I sent you a pic of us, would you be able to do one? I would love it if you could!! let me know...Honestly, I cant thank you enough for bringing so much laughter to my wedding!!!!! I really loved it!!!!!!!

 Fresh from the Mens Room.....

Let's just say the "grab" was not improvised in the least....

 The lovely Kelsey and not-quite-so-lovely-but-in-a-masculine-way-kinda...Dan
(We both have the complexion of that of a boiled lobster)

 Mum & Dad

Again...NOT improvised...well maybe just a little in the coloring( not quite sooo green)

Thanks Kelsey & Dan!
.....and Thanks for your patience.

iSammy kids app is available NOW on app store!

I've been working on the artwork, character designs and animation for a few ipad apps now for quite some time and one of them is now completed and on the app store!! Anyone who is familiar with my work will notice this is a GIANT departure from my other styles and this was a very learning experience.
The art director definitely knew what he wanted  and I had to incorporate a lot of gradients and mask layers in flash to create the product he wanted. I spent as much time thinking as I did drawing on this-my 1st kids ipad app. Sooo much more to this than just drawing, I think of all the projects I've worked on, I learned the most from this one- and so much more to still learn.....

I'm looking forward to getting back to the more zany projects but I am also happy that I have yet another style to offer clients and look forward to working with James and Backatcha in the future!
It's a really cute story and I think little kids will love it-especially the voice recording function that changes the pitch of the kids voices (and of course the cool artwork and animation)..!
It'll make a great Christmas gift-Go get it!  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/isammy/id475017870?mt=8

Maybe some day that zombie app will be available too!

Check out my caricature, cartooning and animation listing on Thumbtack!
My Caricamation-animated caricatures to character design to kids books to comic book work will all be displayed there soon!
It's a cool new site where you can see many of the services I offer.

ANIMATED LIVE DIGITAL CARICATURES

ANIMATED BIRTHDAY GIFT!

This is an edited version of the 1st big project I did entirely on my Cintiq!....and I dont think I could have done it without THE AMAZING DOUBLE CLICK PEN! (and make deadline)!
It was a 14 day timeline and most of those were 10am-5am days!
This was a birthday gift and definitely one of the most intense birthday gifts I ever worked on.
Probably the most intense project PERIOD!
My client opted for cartoon characters ilo caricatures per se and he had a very specific set of action scenes and scenery to animate, while giving me artistic/ humorous license to elaborate.
He also had a specific soundtrack requested-(otherwise it would be all Zeppelin songs!)

His comments:
Great! Love them! You are a rockstar....
These are awesome!
It was amazing. She LOVED it!
You totally rock! Everyone who's seen it so far is completely wowed!

It was a lot of fun & a LOT of work (and little sleep) and I look forward to more projects like this(but hopefully more comfortable deadlines)

ICOLOR IPAD

SOME more ipad doodles-in COLOR!!-I REALY DIG the coloring possibilities with the ipad-that's what I look forward to experimenting with the most now.

My POP & my BRO!
The green mist around Daddy-o is a combination of shamrocks & Guinness gas!....
and I just drew my bro like that cause that's what he gets for saying "You can't draw on an ipad!"

(of course, my Mom went running down into the basement and locked the door when I told her she was next...!)

I CAME, I SAW, IPAD!

(WISH I could say I conquered.... but I'm getting there)
and HERE is the one that got the biggest reaction and the aforementioned compliment! (double at top)
