Harringtoons Live Animated Digital Caricaturist

Steve Jobs Caricature-RIP

I did this Steve Jobs caricature when it was announced my app would be one of many flash created ones to be denied access to the ipad- Thank God that all changed (for the Zombie app anyway) since but at the time Apple was restricting EVERYTHING with the slightest tint of a grey area- from Tiger Woods apps to Bobble head's by Mad mags Tom Richmond to ANYTHING with boobies!....(see the piece in question below) Gotta love all the toys Steve gave us to make part of our lives-RIP Mr. Jobs-Thanks for everything.

Argh-Why didn't this post the 1st time?!....

LIVE IPAD CARICATURES!!

This was my 1st ipad gig and the kids LOVED it -it was a BLAST!
There is a definite learning curve to it but 45 min-hr into it I found it becoming more and more intuitive, though I definitely still have much to learn about it but I'm definitely confident in adding this to my caric-arsenal and look forward to more!
I had the great fortune of working alongside Digital Blacksmith's ipad veterans Angie & Scott and am deeply indebted for their assistance, especially to techno-uber-genius (at least compared to me) Scott for letting me borrow his brain and handling the printing end of the task whilst i doodled on the pad. Thanks guys!

I was also happy that this 1st gig got me one of my best compliments in my 20+ yrs of caricaturing....a cute young lady declared between the bursts of laughter:
"That is the BEST picture I EVER seen!-(period!)

CUTE, QUICK KID CARICATURES

Always a great time at this teamsters Holiday party.
Fun drawing along with fellow toonsters Angie, Emily, & Joe W.
This is a nonstop gig where it's just one cute kid after another.....til some goofy looking clown sits down!
She's very cool and a fan of the crazier stuff too!

BASS Ale gigs!

Getting back to some live caricature work-here are some from the Bass Ale gigs.
Some really fun gigs with a LOT of crazy requests. (including my very first decapitated Bart Simpson)
What a month this November has been!-I've been blessed with some great gigs and am very grateful for it.
Thanks Tad & Chris-you made my November!
I also got the privilege of doing the great office teams in their Bass Ale glory and got a free case of beer:)!

Poli-tick-tocking

Another toon....whole new can o' worms.

OBAMA-SNOOKIE WHO?

I was kinda relieved to hear Obama didn't know who Snookie is-but kinda surprised too...Thought this'd be funny.

MORE FUN GIG stuff...

LIVE PARTY SAMPLES

Sooooo behind on bloggin from gigs.
So in no particular order here are some faves from recent June/ July gigs.
I drew these guys before last year too, I think this was 3rd year, only this year the one guy had a black eye-They're always great fun and really dig it!...maybe some day they'll graduate...?

Twilight Twit. Dorkiest Vampire Ever

I saw an interview with this guy...I think he beat out Count Chockula for the "Dorkiest Vampire Ever" award.
Put me on team "Who Gives A Flying Shit"!

MAD SCIENTIST GIFT CARICATURE

Another Saturday morning type gift caricature.
A really fun one! FLASH & Photoshop.
I coulda (and wanted) to go a LOT further with zombie or Frankenstein monsters, body parts, etc. but client didn't want to go that way-I really like the way the tubes came out and client LOVED it so it's all good!

JACKO-

He died a year ago...
A lot of controversy about the guy, BUT NO ONE can dispute he became one helluva strange looking dude and is fun to caricature!
EE HEEE!

MMmmMitzvah!

Did an M&m themed mitzvah with some great people who really LOVED my work!
Had to draw LOT of kids quickly-NOT MUCH TIME FOR PIX...
but these couples were some of my favorites- ESPECIALLY when they REQUESTED to be in SWIMSUITS!
Congrats M&m (Matt & Marissa)!
Thanks M&m (Marty & Mary)!

more Character Designy Grad Gift Flash Caricatures!

I think the Evel Kneivel and Hamlet are my favorites....

Character Designy Grad Gift Flash Caricatures!

Just finished up a bunch of these gifticature character design toons.
These are more in the style of Saturday morning cartoons-which flash lends itself to very well IMHO.
I enjoy these as a change of pace from the crazier exaggerated stuff and it's a nice exercise to try out different styles....and It's a lot of fun too-Thanks Bernd!
