Once upon a time I was commissioned to illustrate a charming little kids book about a boy named Chase who wanted to grow up to play for the Philadelphia Eagles! Turns out however that unless you pay @billion dollars to NFL licensing, it’s completely illegal to use any of the following words: Eagles, Super Bowl, Champions etc. even in a tiny little kids book story, so I had to revise it a bit….and thus was born the “Greenbean Beagles” I did keep some of the “Eagles-themed” characters aptly named though-like his dogs Carson & Malcolm…and the bullies Sadie, Grady and Brady!
